Commoning Dialogues<\/h3>\n

In preparation for the next GASCA conference \u2018Un\/commoning Anthropology\u2019, the GASCA, in collaboration with Global South Studies, is organising a series of \u2018Commoning Dialogues\u2019 (webinar\/ hybrid), each Monday 16:00-17:30 in irregular order. Each \u2018Commoning Dialogues\u2019 involves two participants – \u2018host\u2019 and \u2018guest\u2019 – who engage in dialogue on a topic in the field of Un\/Commoning. The respective webinar can be freely designed by the dialogue partners, both in terms of the topic and the exact form of the dialogue. The \u2018guest\u2019 is invited by the \u2018host\u2019 – who initiates the dialogue.<\/p>\n

The initiative is supported by the Commoning Focus Group at the GSSC https:\/\/gssc.uni-koeln.de\/en\/forschung-1\/thematische-schwerpunkte\/commoning-visions-resources-practices<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The next online Commoning Dialogue takes place on Monday, July 7th, 4pm-5:30pm German time (CET). The dialogue
\u201cCommoning as a Healing Practice? Potentials, Challenges, and Promises\u201d with Eveline D\u00fcrr, Karla Garcia, Meret Haack, Wolfgang Kapfhammer and Markos Panayiotou (Planetary Healing Group, LMU Munich) will explore commoning within the broader context of healing in the
Anthropocene. Drawing on case studies from Indigenous communities, they will show how the commoning of both material and immaterial goods can generate healing effects, such as individual well-being, the recognition of collective rights, and the pledge for environmental justice.<\/p>\n

The last event was on 16 June. Topic was: For a Blue Planet: Water Commons and \u2018Commoning\u2019 in the Climate Crisis. A Dialogue between Andrea Pia (London School of Economics and Political Science) and Andrea Muehlebach (University of Bremen).<\/p>\n
