General information

Conference organising team consists of DGSKA association admin Julia and NomadIT admin Kristjan.

In addition we are being assisted by the helpful people at the University Cologne and our irreplaceable volunteer team.

If you have any issues or questions you can ask for additional information from our volunteers or pop by the conference office. If you need to send us a message, feel free to email dgska(at)nomadit.co.uk.

Keep in mind that during the conference the org team will be quite busy and response time to the email might be longer than usual, we do our best to react as soon as possible.

Conference reception and registration
Reception desk and registration will be located on the ground floor foyer in Seminargebäude.

At the reception desk you can check in for the conference and get your badge.

Conference office
Is located Seminargebäude S01. There you can settle any admin questions if needed.

Office opening hours are:
29.09 Monday – 11:00-17:30
30.09 Tuesday – 08:30-18:30
1.10 Wednesday – 8:30 – 18:30
2.10 Thursday – 9:00-13:00

Conference office also acts as a luggage room, please make sure to collect your luggage left there before the office closes.

Please notice that all conference registration payments need to be settled before the conference.
Payments at the office can take time and we can accept only electronic bank payments (via internet banking), cash can not be accepted at the office.

Internet

For delegates who are able to access Eduroam can use the network also in University of Cologne.

Unfortunately there are no other networks available.

Printing

There is a printing shop around the corner from the University campus called M&S Druckhaus.

Lunch is not included in the conference fee and has to be organised individually.

You are welcome to use the Google map to find a best possible option for you, feel free also asking from our volunteers if they have recommendations.

Conference will have a designated space for safe space and also a space to work during the conference.

Safe space and awareness team
Our Awareness Team will be available throughout the conference to offer an open ear in case you experience discriminatory or uncomfortable situations and will, where possible, refer you to fitting supporting offices.

Working room
If you need to read through your emails or do some work, you can use Philosophikum S61.

Please keep respect other conference delegates in the room and work without music playing and/or avoid phone and zoom calls in the room. University and the surrounding has foyer space and cafes that can be used for these activities.
